Welcome to Geist Montessori Academy
The Montessori Method is based on years of patient observation of the nature of children and has proved itself of universal application. Schools all over the world have adopted this way of teaching successfully. The method is based on the child’s imperious need to learn by doing and has a profound respect for the child’s personality. It enables the teacher to work with each child individually in each subject.
About Me
My name is Logan Bonar. I grew up in a small farming community in northern Indiana. I graduated from Central Noble High School in 2004. I attended Ball State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After college, I found work as a construction worker for a time.
In 2011 I became an upper elementary assistant at Geist Montessori Academy. The following year I became a lead teacher at Geist. I work with a fantastic team that is very helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive.
I recently completed my masters at the University of Indianapolis. I now have a masters and a building level principal license.
My wife's name is Natalie. We met while attending Ball State. She is a lower elementary teacher at the south campus. We have a son who is in Ms. Karen's preschool classroom. We have another little one due in August.
